Back in February 2012 I started an Open University Course in International Development. The main reason was that I kept on finding myself working in places where people involved in development were staying in the same hotels etc and I thought it would be interesting to find out more about what they did and what they talked about.
Then in the summer I went to an Open Day and mentioned that I fancied taking a few more courses. The woman I spoke to pointed out that the prices were increasing by 300%, but if I signed up for a degree they’d stay the same until 2017 – sold!
So I’m now signed up for an Open Degree. What is an Open Degree? Apparently I can more or less study what I want .. so I am. From October 2012 until March 2013 I’m studying World Archaeology and really digging it 🙂
I’m planning on doing Forensic Sciences and Genetics from April and then Creative Writing from October. What fun!
